Passengers involved in a verbal spat inside the plane are common. However, when a cabin crew or air hostess is involved in an incident is not every day we hear. An IndiGo airline air hostess recently got engaged in a heated argument with a passenger on a Delhi-Istanbul flight. The video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The internet is divided between the passenger and the air hostess. The argument was regarding the meals served on board. As the video went viral, IndigGo airline responded to the entire incident.
Air Hostess – Passenger Fight
As seen in the video, one cabin crew member served food to passengers when the incident occurred. The air hostess requested the passenger to speak politely with the crew. However, the passenger continued yelling and screaming at the air hostess, saying, Shut up. An air hostess asked the passenger to mind his tone. The passenger questioned,
“Why are you yelling.”
An air hostess answered back,
“Because you are yelling at us!”
“No, I am so sorry, sir, but you cannot talk to the crew like that. I am peacefully listening to you with all due respect, but you have to respect the crew as well. You cannot talk to me like that. I am also an employee here.”
However, the matter worsened when the passenger referred to the air hostess as a ‘servant.’ She was in no mood to listen to any remark from the passenger. She added,
“Yes, I am an employee. I am not your servant.”

IndiGo Airline Responded To The Incident
After the video went viral, IndiGo responded to the incident. The airline has released a statement.
“We are aware of the incident that took place on flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi on December 16, 2022. The issue was related to meals chosen by certain passengers traveling via a codeshare connection. IndiGo is cognizant of the needs of its customers, and it is our constant endeavor to provide a courteous and hassle-free experience to our customers. We are looking into the incident and would like to assure that customers’ comfort has always been our top priority. We are committed to providing the best experience at all times.”
