For Indians who desire to travel overseas, there is good news. As India’s COVID-19 situation improves and the vaccination campaign ramps up, several nations worldwide are opening their doors to Indians. The good news is that you won’t have to go through quarantine when visiting these countries.

Globally, almost 6 billion individuals have been vaccinated, according to a WHO report.

If you travel to certain countries, you must follow specific directions and Covid protocols, such as being wholly vaccinated and carrying negative COVID-19 test results, among other things. The countries listed below allow fully vaccinated Indians to travel.

According to the High Commissioner to India, from October 11, if you have been fully vaccinated with Covishield or any other UK-approved vaccine, you will not be quarantined upon arrival in the United Kingdom. “Thank you for your close cooperation with the Indian government over the previous month,” Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, tweeted on Thursday.

2. United States

After an 18-month ban placed by Donald Trump on international visitors to the United States, it will be lifted in November. As a result, passengers from India can now travel to the United States with a few precautions. If you are entirely vaccinated, there are no quarantine limitations, but you must still go through testing and contact tracing protocols. White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients announced that foreign nationals traveling to the United States must be fully vaccinated. However, the travelers must provide proof of vaccination. Additionally, they would be asked to go for testing and contract tracing regimens.

In June, the government abolished its travel ban and opened its doors to Indian tourists, making it the first country to do so. Indians who have been fully vaccinated with WHO-recognized vaccines no longer need to be confined after arriving in Switzerland. Vaccination is not required for children under the age of 18.

4. Germany

Germany has eliminated all travel restrictions for Indian citizens. Indians aged 12 and up will now be allowed to participate in all activities. You must, however, adhere to certain guidelines, such as providing proof of vaccination, a negative test result, or proof of recovery from COVID-19. Vaccination certificates for travelers who were vaccinated with Covishied in India, according to reports, must include the date of birth or passport number. It will not be sufficient to refer to the Aadhar number.

France has recently relaxed its travel rules, allowing fully vaccinated Indians to visit without being quarantined. However, Indians who have not been vaccinated or who have been partially vaccinated must demonstrate a negative RT-PCR test 72 hours before leaving for France and will be quarantined for 10 days after they arrive.

Canada lifted its ban on Indian travelers on September 26, 2021, allowing fully vaccinated individuals with negative Covid-19 test results from an approved laboratory to enter the country. Passengers must present a negative testing report and upload the information to the ArriveCAN smartphone app or website at the Delhi airport. If you travel to Canada via indirect flight, the Indian negative reports will not be valid; instead, you must get a negative Covid-19 test in a third nation within 72 hours of departure.
