The Lok Sabha elections of 2024 had everyone’s attention on it. The race between NDA and INDIA kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The NDA, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP, secured 292 Lok Sabha seats, 20 more than the simple majority of 272 in the 543-member House. According to the Election Commission, the BJP won 240 seats, while the Congress, which represents the opposition INDIA group, gained 99 seats and the alliance received 234 seats. In a nutshell, BJP won for the third time.

Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay,  Nepal PM Prachanda, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Maldivian President in their posts mentioned how delighted they felt to witness one of the largest democracies choose PM Modi as the leader. They shared warm wishes and hoped to strengthen relations with India.
