In a horrific video, the law student was seen beaten up by a group of people. They were assaulting him with hockey sticks and iron rods.

Admittedly, a shot or two by these weapons can leech the life away from anyone. In the video, the group took several shots. The victim, Dilip Saroj along with his two other friends was having dinner inside a restaurant in Allahabad. He engaged in an argument with other people and they started attacking him. The assault was captured in a video. The group of attackers ran after handing the man the severe beating. The victim went into the coma and after a brief struggle, he took his last breath.

One of Dilip’s friend told “We had gone for dinner at Kalika restaurant. After dinner, we were sitting on the stairs that lead to the restaurant. Three people came, pushed us, abused and went to the restaurant on the first floor. We followed them to the restaurant to confront them which is when they started beating us. I was hit with chairs too, but I managed to escape,”

 

Police Identified The Main Accused

Sukriti Madhav, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Allahabad said “We can see the men in the CCTV footage, but except for the main accused, Vijay Shankar Singh, who is employed with the Indian Railways, we have not been able to identify the rest. We have formed special teams to arrest the accused.”
