The world has seen many wars, genocides, riots, killings, famines and what not. Men who advocated crime to a level no one else could fathom. The real evil, however, lies within the master minds of these inhuman practices. Their decision wreaked havoc on humanity and all that comes with it. Here are some of the most evil men to have ever been born:
1. Maximilien Robespierre (1758-1794)
As one of the leading figures of the French Revolution, Maximilien Robespierre created a reign of terror that took place over a 10-month period where he carried out innumerable horrid executions.
2. Joseph Stalin (1878-1953)
To start with, he actually managed to starve an entire country (Ukraine). But as bad as that is, it falls far short of showcasing the level of badness this man was capable of. In classic dictator fashion, he had many of his closest friends and confidants executed. Total kill count: around 60 million.
3. Ivan the Terrible (1530-1584)
Ivan was the first Tsar of Russia. As a kid, he used to throw animals from the top of tall structures. Though he was intelligent, he had bouts of rage due to mental illness. During one, he even killed his own heir to the throne. He loved impaling, beheading, burning, strangling, frying, blinding and disembowelling people.
4. Pol Pot (1925-1998)
Pol Pot, born Saloth Sar, was a Cambodian socialist revolutionary who led the Khmer Rouge from 1963 until 1997. From 1963 to 1981, he served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea.
5. Heinrich Himmler (1900-1945)
He was head of the SS and the brain behind the Final Solution to the Jewish question, that is the extermination of about 6 million Jews, and many other groups that the Nazis believed were unworthy of living. It is believed that he had furniture made from the bones and skins of Jewish victims.
