Kristen Beams was bowling the last over. Ellyse Perry made swift foot movements and shot the ball for a maximum. However, the ball hit a boy in the crowd.

She called for medics to help the boy out and by that time other players of Sydney Sixers have been arrived.  Team physio checked the boy. When Perry was assured of the safety of the injured boy, she came back to the pitch and resumed the play. Sydney Sixers managed to put 242/2 on the boards till their innings ended. Ellyse Perry scored blasting 91 runs of just 49 deliveries.
