Google has been working for a while to remove malicious apps that pose a danger to Android phones. In 2017 Google took down over 700,000 apps from their play store to make it more safe and authentic.

These apps use tricky names like Whatsapp Pro, WiFi Password Pro, Super Flashlight Pro that makes people into believing that they are super useful but in reality, these apps are full of ads and barely shows any legitimate content to the user.
