Shyaam Meera Singh recently reacted to Sherlyn Chopra’s statement. He suggested her to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and noted the benefits. Further, she stated that after marrying Yogi Adityanath, she wouldn’t have to change her maiden name. He said so because the leader says, “Changing the name will not change your game.” This displeased the leader and led to the filing of an FIR.

Moreover, sharing the screenshots of his posts, the YouTuber states, “UP Police has registered an FIR on this tweet of mine. It is written in the FIR that this tweet has hurt the sentiments of 25 crore people of UP. People are angry. Law and order may deteriorate. Believing this, the UP police even registered an FIR. But I do not understand that the total impressions on the tweet of mine are 1 lakh. That means only 1 lakh people have seen it.”

The young YouTuber and influencer further said, “Then how did the sentiments of 25 crore people get hurt? Secondly, can an FIR  be logged in this country just for suggesting a suitable groom to a woman? I didn’t abuse any woman like the BJP leader did to Sonia Gandhi and Dimple Yadav. I did not abuse the chief minister like BJP leaders do to the opposition. Since I criticize the hateful policies of the government, I make videos on YouTube. Was such a fake FIR registered just to defame me?”

No FIR is filed against the people who bring down the nation’s respect. But, an FIR has been registered against a YouTuber who was just jokingly recommending a groom to a woman. Is this the justice we’re getting in our country? Why are the odds always favoring the rich and the powerful? What do you think about the topic discussed above?
