The incident, supposedly happening on May 13, was caught on a web camera. The CCTV footage shows MLA P Ramakrishna Reddy purposefully vandalizing EVMs at polling station No. 202 and seven other stations in the Macharla Assembly Constituency. The Election Commission quickly responded, handing over the video to state police for further investigation.

“The Election Commission is serious about these allegations,” expressed the Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh.
