Finally, AAAAARRRRR CEEEEEEE BEEEEEE. Yes, that was the moment every RCB fan waited for 18 long years. The moment every RCBian wanted to live it in reality. From Ee Sala Cup Namde to Ee Sala Cup Namdu, the drought of 18 years ended last night. RCB are finally the IPL Champions. It took them 18 years, and every RCB player and RCB fan had tears in their eyes, the tears of joy, the tears of winning the trophy. The emotional scenes all around at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

The chant of AAAAARRRRR CEEEEEEE BEEEEEE all over the world. From the streets of Bengaluru to New Delhi, from Jabalpur to Kolkata, the celebration all over, and why not, the most followed cricket franchise in the world, finally tasted the success of winning the IPL trophy. Virat Kohli, the only player to play for a single franchise for 18 long years, was in tears at the last over; the emotions were pouring out from his eyes.

Finally, RCB Are IPL Champions For The First Time

The holy trinity of RCB, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli together tried hard to win this in the past, but finally it happened without the Universe Boss and Mr. 360. Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally lifted the trophy by defeating Punjab Kings by 6 runs. The 18th season belongs to jersey number 18, Virat Kohli. The only trophy he did not get his hands on was finally in his arms. Finally, the RCB are champions for the first time.

Virat Kohli On Winning The IPL Trophy

Virat Kohli, the jersey number 18, lifting the trophy on the 18th year, on the date, if added, gives you the number 18 tells you that the entire universe was with him. This is something no one even manifested when the IPL started way back in 2008. This was God’s plan for Virat Kohli.  Virat Kohli said,

“This win is as much for the fans as it is for the team. It has been 18 long years, I have given this team my youth, my prime and my experience and I have tried to win this every season that I have come and I have given everything I have and to finally have this moment come, it is an unbelievable feeling. I never thought this day would come. I was overcome with emotions as soon as the last ball was bowled and this means so much to me, as I said I have given each and every ounce of energy to this team and to finally win an IPL is an amazing feeling.”

Virat Kohli also applauded AB de Villiers for his contribution to the RCB franchise. He continued,

“What he (AB de Villiers) has done for this franchise is absolutely tremendous and I told him that before the game as well that this one is as much yours as it is ours and I want you to celebrate with us when we lift that trophy by the end of the night because what he has done for RCB is so very special, he still got maximum number of Man of the Match awards and he is retired for 4 years now, so that tells you the impact he has had on this league, on this team, on me as a person, our friendship and what he means to the people of Bangalore to this team and to this franchise is something that I can’t describe in words, so as I said he deserves to be on that podium with all of us lifting that cup tonight.”

On talking about how he would rate this trophy in his career, Virat Kohli said,

“It is right up there, if I have to be honest, as I said, I have given everything that I had for the last 18 years. I have stayed loyal to this team no matter what, I have had moments where I thought otherwise, but I stuck to this team. I stood behind them and they stood behind me and I always dreamt of winning it with them, and this is far more special than winning it with anyone else because my heart is with Bangalore, my soul is with Bangalore and as I said this is the team I am gonna play for till the last day that I play the IPL, so this one is absolutely right up there.”

“You know as a sportsman when you are trying for something, and this is a very high intensity and high quality tournament which is of great value in world cricket today and I am someone that wants to win the big tournaments, the big moments and this one was missing and tonight, I am gonna sleep like a baby. I have an opportunity to play this game for not many years. So, there is an end to our career and by the time I hang up my boots, I want to sit at home and say I gave it everything I had. So, I look for ways to improve.”

Virat Kohli said this win is for every player, fan, and management. He continued,

“I can’t play as an impact player, I want to field 20 overs and make an impact in the field. That is the kind of player I am and I have been. God’s blessed me with that perspective and I am so grateful to this victory. So thankful to God for giving it in my lap finally tonight and I just put my head down, stay humble and work as hard as I possibly can and then you find different ways to help the team.”

“This management, this group of players have been outstanding. They have got in the right kind of players, match-winners and people who take the game on. In the auction, lot of people questioned our tactics, but by day 2 we were very happy with what we had and we had a lot of confidence in the strength of this group. I want to give a big shout out to this team. It would not have been possible without each and everyone in the squad, in the playing eleven. The management backing the players, keeping us positive throughout when the going got tough. So it is everyone’s.”

Virat Kohli added that this is one of the best moments of his cricketing career. He added,

“I don’t wanna stand here and talk about myself. There is lot that is spoken about me already, this win is for Bangalore and for each and everyone of the player and the families and the management as well. This moment is right up there with the best moments I have had in my career.”

The celebration will continue as Virat Kohli said. Today, there is a victory parade in Bengaluru, followed by a celebration at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The RCB fans were dancing on the streets, and the photos and videos from all over the world are circulating on social media, describing the importance of winning the IPL trophy for RCBians.

As an RCBian fan inside, even I cannot control my emotions, but at the same time, I also have a feeling for Preity Zinta’s Punjab Kings. They played good cricket throughout the tournament, and with the balance side they have, the trophy is not far from them, maybe in the next couple of years. Once again, Congratulations RCB, Ee Sala Cup Namdu.
