They throw garbage and trash in public places and waste the effort of people who try to keep their surroundings clean. Sometimes one strong lesson is an eye-opener for many people. One such incident happened in the state of Karnataka where two travelers are forced to return 80 km to Coorg to pick up the empty pizza boxes that they have dumped on the roadside.

Two men traveling in Karnataka threw their empty pizza boxes on the highway in Coorg. Yes, they have made the mistake, but without knowing what will happen to them next, they continue their travel without any bothering. However, according to Bangalore Mirror, General Secretary from the Kodagu Tourism Association spotted the pizza trash. He told,

“I was keeping a close watch in the area to curb the garbage menace on our hill station. When I was returning home on Friday, I noticed some pizza packets tossed on the side of the road. I felt like all our efforts were in vain.”

The tourism officials opened the empty pizza boxes and found the bill with the name and contact number of the traveler. He called the two men and they told, they already covered more than 80 km and are out of Kodagu. But tourism officials told them to drive back 80 km to pick up their trash. Both the men apologized to the officials but refused to drive back all the way.

The tourism officials then informed the police about this. Police also contacted the two men. However, they once again, informed that they left Coorg and were in Madikeri and will not be able to travel back. When the police were unable to convince them, they shared their contact number on social media.

Angry people called the duo in large numbers to go back and pick up their dumped pizza trash. They get embarrassed by this situation and have left with no choice, except to travel back 80km to Coorg to pick up their trash. Well, this is a huge win for all the people of India who put their efforts into keeping the environment clean. The duo will never repeat this again and it is the lesson for a lifetime.
