Virat Kohli’s form is a big concern for Team India. The run machine has not scored a century since 2019. It has been three years without a century for Virat Kohli. The confident-looking player is usually getting out in a similar fashion. An outgoing England tour is also not going well for Virat. He has scored 11 and 20 in both the innings of the 5th Test at Edgbaston. In the shortest format, T20Is, Virat has scores of 1 and 11. In the last ODI, Virat scored 16. Everyone is talking about Virat Kohli’s form. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly spoke about Virat Kohli’s poor form.

While speaking to ANI, Sourav Ganguly insists that Virat will have to find a way himself. He said,

“Of course, look at the numbers he has got in international cricket that doesn’t happen without ability and quality. Yes, he has had a tough time and he knows that. He has been a great player himself. He himself knows by his own standards it has not been good and I see him coming back and doing well. But he has got to find his way and become successful, which he has been for the last 12-13 years or more and only Virat Kohli can do that.”

Many former cricketing legends like Kapil Dev and Venkatesh Prasad criticized Virat Kohli and have questioned his place on the T20 side. Sourav Ganguly further added,

“These things will happen in sport. It has happened to everybody. It has happened to Sachin, It has happened to Rahul, it has happened to me, it has happened to Kohli. It is going to happen to future players. That’s part and parcel of sport, and I think as a sportsman, you just need to listen, be aware of what it is and just go and play your game.”

Also, Virat Kohli is taking rest more frequently. He is unavailable for the West Indies tour for both ODIs and T20Is. He is also not going on the Zimbabwe tour. With the do-or-die third ODI against England, just like in the last three years, every Indian cricket fan will pray for Virat Kohli to come back stronger.
