Shefali Jariwala, born on December 15, 1982, in Mumbai, rose to prominence with her daring and mesmerizing performance in Kaanta Laga, one of the most popular remix songs of the 2000s. Her career spanned two decades, and she participated in numerous Hindi music videos, reality shows, and films. She made appearances on reality TV shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 with her actor husband, Parag Tyagi. Shefali Jariwala appeared as a participant on the reality TV show Bigg Boss 13.

Officials from the Mumbai Police said they do not suspect foul play in the actor-performer’s death and believe she died as a result of cardiac arrest.

According to police sources, Jariwala took her usual medicines Friday night. In the afternoon, she received an injection, supposedly an anti-aging medicine, which she had been taking for the previous few years under the supervision of an expert. After taking them, her blood pressure reportedly dropped dramatically at night, and she began shaking, leading her relatives to rush her to the hospital.

As per the police, the 42-year-old star fell at her home on Friday night. Her husband, television star Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri. “She was brought to the hospital around 11:15 pm (Friday),” where doctors confirmed her dead upon arrival. Preliminary investigations indicated that she may have experienced a heart attack. Her body was later transferred to RN Cooper Hospital in Juhu for post-mortem.

The Cause Of Shefali Jariwala’s Death

Shefali Jariwala’s death, if caused by a response to the anti-aging procedure, highlights the ongoing pressure on women, particularly in the entertainment business, to look a certain way.

A police team, along with forensic science laboratory experts, went to Jariwala’s house and collected samples, including her prescriptions, tablets, and injections.

It is also alleged that she had fasted all day due to a puja at home, and that taking medicines on an empty stomach may have exacerbated her illness. However, investigators are awaiting the results of scientific tests before drawing any conclusions.

Dr. Rahul Chawla explained,

“They do have some negative side effects, including cardiac conduction problems, arrhythmia, and hypotension. Multiple cases have been reported in which individuals died after receiving IV detoxification infusions, most likely due to abrupt collapse or hypotension. However, we cannot link any sudden cardiac death to a history of glutathione or detox infusions.”

What Happens When Blood Pressure Suddenly Drops?

According to specialists, a sudden drop in blood pressure can occur for a number of reasons, indicating that essential organs are not receiving sufficient blood flow. Dr. Abhijit Khadtare, a cardiologist at Ruby Hall Clinic

“A fast and sharp drop in blood pressure, known medically as severe hypotension, can be a life-threatening emergency. Although a blood pressure reading below 90/60 mm Hg isn’t usually concerning on its own, a rapid and severe decrease might cause serious health risks, including deadly outcomes.”
