The Cricket World Cup is now almost in the last league of the tournament. Team India has performed well in this World Cup and qualified for the semi-finals. However, many cricket fans and experts have criticized former Indian captain MS Dhoni for his approach. MS Dhoni is already in the news in this World Cup for using army insignia. Many of us might have seen that MS Dhoni is playing with different bats with different logos of sponsors.

In the last two matches against England and Bangladesh, MS Dhoni has taken the guard with a bat having SG logo. However, after a few overs, when big hits were required he switched the bat with BAS logo. He is also seen playing in this World Cup with a bat having SS logo. Now the question is why MS Dhoni is doing this? Is he taking money from various sponsors? Because many cricketers have brand sponsors and they pay handsomely up to 4 to 5 crores annually.

When asked about it from MS Dhoni’s manager Arun Pandey, he told Mumbai Mirror that MS Dhoni is not charging a single penny from the sponsors. He is playing with different company logos as a goodwill gesture and he wants to pay gratitude to the brands for supporting him.

“It’s a fact that he has been using different bats with different brandings, but he is not charging them. He wants to say thanks to them for helping in various stages of his career.”

He further added,

“Dhoni has a big heart. He does not need money, he has enough of it, he is using those bats as a goodwill gesture. BAS was with him from the beginning and SG also was very helpful to him,”.
