Cobrapost a non-profit website did Operation Karaoke a sting operation busted 36 Bollywood stars. These stars were ready to promote a political campaign in social media in exchange for money. Many famous actors, tv actors, singers, and comedians were caught in this sting operation.
Cobrapost approached celebrities as a PR agency. Undercover agents contacted celebrities through calls and also met them at their offices and at their home. They convinced celebrities to praise political party through social media in such a way that they are posting opinions on their own.
