Joe Root is in fantastic form with two double centuries and a century in the last three games he played in the subcontinent. The first Test match against India at Chennai was Joe Root’s 100th Test match. Joe Root scored 218 in the first innings and a quick-fire 40 in the second innings. Because of his knock, India lost the match by 227 runs. Now, a former batsman Manoj Tiwary came up with a detailed plan to dismiss Joe Root.

Manoj clearly mentioned it is only for spinning tracks and for Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar. In the photo, there are seven fielders on the on-side and two on the off-side. He has not put a regular slip catching for Joe Root. Manoj Tiwary describes his plan on Twitter and wrote,

“Since JoeRoot is in red hot form wit d bat. I have chalked out a field placement plan 4 Ashwin nd Washington if it might help. Dis plan is only 4 Spinning friendly pitches. 7/2 on the On side wit No slip catcher. Zoom in d picture guys 4 detailed reasoning #INDvsENG”

Ravindra Jadeja is already ruled out of the entire Test series. Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Chahar are already sent back to stand-by players as Axar Patel is fully fit. He might debut in the second Test match. It will be interesting to see Virat Kohli‘s team selection. England has announced their 12 man squad for the second Test with Jos Buttler, James Anderson, Jofra Archer, and Dom Bess ruled out from the second test.

The second test is starting February 13 in Chennai. The crowd is also allowed in this Test match with half the capacity of the ground. Do you guys think India will bounce back in this Test series? Let us know in the comments below.
