A couple from Kerala Rishi Karthikeyan and Lakshmi has been trolled for their intimate wedding shoot. But the couple gave the perfect reply to all the trollers. Social Media is a platform where people have the liberty to express their opinions. Sometimes there is a very thin line between what is right or wrong. The same thing can be right or wrong for different people. It is all about how people look into a particular matter. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government has made guidelines with limited guests at the wedding. The government has asked the authorities and the people to keep social distancing and wear masks during the functions. We have seen how beautifully the bride made an entry in her wedding on the song Mere Saiyaan Superstar in Maharashtra during the pandemic and made the moment a memorable one for her groom.
Recently, a couple from Kerala Rishi Karthikeyan and Lakshmi tied the knot on September 16. Due to the pandemic, they did not get a chance for a big fat Indian wedding. The couple decided to do something different and opted for a creative post-wedding shoot.
Rishi Karthikeyan and Lakshmi planned their intimate photoshoot at the tea plantations of Vagamon, Kerala with the help of Akhil Karthikeyan, their wedding photographer friend who runs Wedding Stories Photography.
As soon as they have posted the photos on a social media platform, the couple started getting lots of hatred online. The photos, in which the couple appear, were draped in white sheets while playfully running through tea fields. Lakshmi was started getting hateful comments and slammed for encouraging vulgarity and nudity.
According to the reports in The News Minute, Rishi Karthikeyan shared,
“Both of us were very much clothed throughout the shoot. It is impossible to not be clothed as we were shooting outdoors, in a rather public place in Vagamon. That the photographer was able to capture aesthetic shots of us, is purely his creativity and camera skills. However, most users, especially on Facebook, began moral policing me and my wife over the nature of the pictures.”
Rishi further added that his family has not raised any objections to the photoshoot. While the bride Lakshmi commented,
“I am somebody who wears off shoulder clothes and shorts. Showing my neck or legs does not qualify as nudity. But I was hit with a storm of horrible comments when the pictures were posted on Facebook. Initially, we responded to some of the comments, but then the pictures went viral and it was overwhelming to have to respond to trolls. So we decided to ignore it.”
The couple has decided that they will keep the photos online and they do not give a damn to the trolling. It is praiseworthy that the couple did not bow down to the trolls, but same time it feels bad that they have been trolled for this. What do you guys think about this photoshoot?
