Reading the heading, you might be thinking, Are You Kiddin Me? Well, to be honest, today is not April 1st and the news is real. The world is full of weird things and weird people. Even when you do not think of something in your wildest of dreams, there are some people who turn it into reality. People spend millions to look like a celebrity. Recently, a man from Japan fulfilled his lifelong dream of wanting to look like a dog. A Japanese man also paid over INR 12 lakh for it. Strange, but true.

As per the reports, the man got himself a custom-made dog collie costume.  It cost him around 2 million yen (around INR 12.18 lakh) and even 40 days in making. The photos are shared on Twitter from the Twitter handle @toco_eevee. Zeppet, a professional agency helped in designing the costume and transforming the man into a ‘collie’, a breed of dog. The photos are viral. Reportedly, Zeppet provides sculptures for commercials, ads, movies, amusement facilities, and famous characters in Japan.

Talking to the local newspaper news.mynavi, Toco explained why he chose to become a dog like a ‘collie.’ He said,

“I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on. My favorite are quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to go for a dog costume. Long-haired dogs can mislead the human figure. That’s why I chose collie, my favorite breed of dog.”

A Japanese man Toco even has a YouTube channel. On his channel, he posts videos in which he acts like a dog including rolling over for belly rubs. When asked, how comfortable he is in the costume and how freely he can movie in the costume? Toco laughed and said,

“There are restrictions, but you can move it. However, if you move it too much, it will not look like a dog.”

Toco shares a transformation video on YouTube, and also gives insight into his thought process. In the caption, he wrote, “Have you ever wanted to be an animal? I have! I made my dream come true like this.”
