1. Duct Tape
The basic necessity of life, duct tape was initially invented by army soldiers to save gun boxes from the water.
2. Jerry Cane
The jerry cans used widely nowadays was first used by German soldiers to transport oil and water.
3. Computer
The first digital programmable computer was invented by the US military during World War II. It was named as ENIAC and was claimed to be 2400 times faster than humans.
4. Fertilizers
Prior to the start of WW1, German scientists, during preparing TNT explosives, found out a method of preparing fertilizers from artificial nitrates.
5. Sanitary Napkins
In 1914, the US military started manufacturing cotton bandages, which were 5 times more absorbent than normal cotton. As time went by, the military women started using them as sanitary pads.
6. Jeep
The jeep, which we see often nowadays was first bought into use by the US military to transport personnel in.
7. Cargo pants
Cargo pants with multiple pockets which are a popular fashion trend were invented by soldiers. It enabled them to carry many pieces of equipment at once.
8. GPS
GPS was introduced to common men in 1996, but first, it was invented in 1990 by military soldiers around 1990.
9. Microwave Oven
While working for the US military, a soldier accidentally discovered microwave oven, when microwaves from active radar started to melt a candy bar kept in his pocket.
