1. Chris Gayle (RCB) – 175*

Shining at the opening position, Chris Gayle holds the record for most runs in the opening position while facing the first ball. The match in which he smashed an unbelievable 175 not out was against Pune Warriors. He was the opener for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This was back in the year 2013 when Chris Gayle smashes 175* runs in just 63 deliveries. He is popularly known for his massive sixes and also known as  Universal Boss. He also holds the record for the most sixes hit by a batsman in IPL.

 

2. Brendon McCullum (KKR) – 158*

The record was created in the first-ever match of the IPL, which was in 2008. Brendon McCullum often captained Kolkata Knight Riders whenever Sourav Ganguly was not present. The high score was set in the small stadium of Bangalore, M.Chinnaswamy stadium. The match was against the home team Royal Challengers Bangalore. McCullum totally destroyed the bowling of RCB and smashed every bowler may it be a spinner or a pacer. Better known as Mr. 360, AB de Villiers smashed a total of 133 runs not out in IPL 2015 against Mumbai. The three aces, veteran batsmen of the team, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers once ruled the league. The bash of 133 runs leaded the team to a victory with 39 runs. The South African captain also won the man of the match award for his unbelievable game.

 

4. Rishabh Pant (DC) – 128*

The left-handed young batsman has always shown up whenever his team needed him. His consistency in the game is quite remarkable. During the 2018 IPL season, he smacked a magical total of 128 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pant hit 15 fours and 7 sixes to make up to a defendable total but, unfortunately, the team lost the match.

He became the highest scorer at the 5th number against a match with Gujarat Lions. He scored 103 not out in 63 deliveries. There were 13 blazing boundaries coming out from the bat of Ben Stokes.
