In a recent episode of Koffee With Karan, the duo of KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya appeared as the guest. We all know KWK is quite controversial. Ranbir Kapoor once said, “Karan Johar made us reveal the things that we have to clarify for the rest of our life”. In the same way, Hardik and KL Rahul said something that brought the Twitterati against them.

Virat Kohli, who is one of the finest batsmen of this era, is breaking records after records. Therefore he is usually compared to the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Moreover, he is often pronounced as “better than Sachin Tendulkar”.

During the rapid fire round, Karan fired a question at the cricket duo. He asked, “Who is the better batsman between Sachin and Virat?” Hardik Pandya wasted litter time and answered “Virat”. Moreover, KL Rahul had the same opinion about this one.

This brought a tsunami of melancholic comments on twitter. The Twitterati were not pleased by that. Many of the Twitterati took a dig at KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya while some others called blamed Karan Johar for asking such a dumb question. A twitterati wrote, “More than the answer, it was stupid of KJO to ask such question. The answer was pretty obvious and rapid but asking such questions on National television is pretty much nonsense”. While another twitterati wrote, “Lol that is why KJO gets paid the king’s ransom. Admittedly, there is no comparison between the two batsmen who belong to the different eras. We could probably give it a thought if Virat and Kohli were playing in the same era but that will be foolish to compare them now. The game of cricket has changed in the meantime. To illustrate, the shorter boundaries and the fielding restrictions have put the game in batsmen’s favor a bit.
