A new rape case following the outrage of a rape case in Jammu Kathua has emerged from Uttar Pradesh. A 7-year-old girl was raped and later killed by a 19-year-old man on Monday during a wedding.
Girl Taken From A Wedding Ceremony
This case is from Etah, Uttar Pradesh where the accused Sonu took the little girl away when her family was busy during the wedding ceremony, to an Un-constructed house and Raped her. Later on, with the fear of being caught, accused killed the little girl. Kotwali In charge of Etah, Mr. Pankaj Mishra said that the 19-year-old accused was arrested on the spot of crime. The 7-year-old girl was at a wedding near Galla Mandi in Etah, at about 1 am she went missing. The family started searching the girl in the night when she was found dead in an under construction house nearby. The accused man is from Etah where his father runs a tent business and has a shop near Nagar Kotwali.
Case Filed
The accused man has been charged with Murder under section 302 of IPC and with Rape under section 376. The accused is also liable under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offence) Act 2012. The case has been initiated against the accused who will now be presented in the Court of Etah.
Not The Only Rape Case In India
The body has been sent for post-mortem test. According to a Survey, In India, a girl is raped or Sexually abused every 15 minutes. There has been a sudden rise in the rape cases in a country with over 82% increase in the past year. The whole country is already in shock and shame with the Rape and Murder case of 8-year-old Asifa in Jammu Kashmir, Kathua. She was raped for 7 days after being drugged and later was killed with a head injury. Uttar Pradesh tops the list of Crime against Minors with more than 15% share in the total crime in the country with UP alone.
