The investigation into the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff has reportedly uncovered a possible connection to an earlier plan targeting Salman Khan. According to a report, Mumbai Police sources believe the shooters may have shifted their attention to Shroff after security arrangements outside Khan’s Bandra residence discouraged them from proceeding with the alleged plan.
The development comes after three suspects were arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, while allegedly attempting to flee following the firing near a football ground in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Investigators are now examining the suspected roles of additional people accused of arranging and transporting weapons.

According to a Hindustan Times report citing Mumbai Police sources, the shooters had allegedly conducted reconnaissance near Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. However, the security arrangements reportedly made it difficult for them to proceed with the planned attack. Police are still investigating the purpose of the reconnaissance.
Investigators suspect the gang then looked for another target. According to the report, information from fans’ social media posts allegedly revealed that Tiger Shroff regularly played football at Pushpa Narsee Ground in Juhu on Sundays. Tiger Shroff was reportedly considered an easier target because he did not have police security cover. The shooters allegedly watched him before opening fire as his car was leaving the ground.
A police officer told the publication, “We have learnt that the accused had carried out reconnaissance at Salman Khan’s home but the purpose is not yet clear. We will check their phones as they take photos to send their handlers.” The alleged motive and the suspected connection between the two actors remain under investigation.
Four More People Arrested Over Alleged Weapons Supply
In a separate development, the Delhi Police Special Cell reportedly arrested four people suspected of supplying weapons to the accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case. They were identified as Kunal, Sumit, Radha and Babita, aged between 19 and 23. Kunal and Sumit are reportedly from Sonipat, Haryana, while Radha and Babita are from Uttar Pradesh.
According to investigators, Kunal allegedly came into contact with Anil Pandit, who has claimed responsibility for the attack. Pandit is suspected of operating gang activities from the United States. The four arrested individuals have since been handed over to Mumbai Police. Investigators believe the arrests may help establish how the weapon used in the shooting reached the alleged shooters.
How The Alleged Weapons-Supply Network Worked
According to the investigation details shared in reports, Kunal allegedly procured a pistol and 20 cartridges from Amritsar after communicating with Pandit through an encrypted messaging app. He allegedly persuaded Radha to help transport the weapon to Mumbai. On October 15, three days before the firing, Kunal reportedly dropped Radha and Babita at New Delhi Railway Station. The two women travelled to Mumbai, with the pistol allegedly concealed inside Radha’s bag.
They reached Dadar station on October 17 and checked into a hotel. Investigators allege that a minor boy later arrived near the hotel to collect the bag. The following evening, October 18, the three accused previously arrested in Kota — Hritik, Rehan and Phool Singh — allegedly carried out the firing at around 7 pm.
After the incident, Pandit allegedly told Kunal that the shooters were stranded in Mumbai and asked him to arrange their departure. Radha and Babita reportedly boarded the Haridwar Express to return to Delhi on the same day. They were apprehended at New Delhi Railway Station on October 20, while Kunal and Sumit were arrested in Sonipat. These details form part of the reported police investigation. The alleged roles of each person will have to be established through evidence and legal proceedings.
Social Media Threat Allegedly Named Salman Khan
The alleged Bishnoi gang connection gained attention after a social media post attributed to Anil Pandit and another alleged aide, Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility for the firing.
The post read, “…Regarding what happened with Tiger Shroff today, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu take responsibility for it. We had explained to him over a call, but he didn’t understand, so today he was taught a proper lesson. And anyone in the Mumbai film industry who doesn’t listen to us or works with Salman Khan, their turn will be next. Wait and watch.”
The authenticity and implications of the post remain matters for investigators to establish. A claim of responsibility on social media, by itself, does not prove who ordered or carried out the attack.
Why Has Salman Khan Faced Threats For Years?
Salman Khan has faced repeated threats allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The hostility has been associated with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Jodhpur. The Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck sacred. In April 2024, two men on a motorcycle fired shots outside Khan’s residence in Mumbai. His farmhouse in Panvel has also reportedly been under surveillance by people linked to the gang.
Other public figures have faced threats or attacks allegedly connected to the group. Gunmen opened fire at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence in February, while actor Ranveer Singh reportedly received threats. Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead in Bandra in October 2024.
What Happens Next In The Tiger Shroff Firing Case?
Police are expected to question the arrested accused to establish the alleged chain of communication, the movement of weapons and the identities of anyone who may have directed the operation. Investigators are also examining the reported reconnaissance near Salman Khan’s residence.
For now, the claim that Khan was the original target remains a reported investigative theory, not a confirmed finding. The questioning and evidence gathered by Mumbai Police will be crucial in determining the motive behind the firing and the alleged roles of those arrested.
