The Laguna graduate in medical technology won the competition by defeating 27 other competitors. As a result, the Philippines has chosen its candidate for Miss Earth 2023, one of the most important international beauty competitions. On Saturday night at a glamorous celebration in Toledo, Cebu, Yllana Marie Aduana, 24, a medical technology graduate who had defeated 27 other contestants, was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2023. The departing title winner Jenny Ramp gave her the crown.
Who Is Yllana Marie Aduana
Aduana, who appeared at the same contest in 2021 and placed in the Top 10, was the province of Laguna’s representative.
She discussed her not-for-profit Edukasyon for Each Juan, which tries to aid in the battle against worldwide warming and teach people on environmental truth, at the contest, where contestants are forced to flaunt their environmentally friendly credentials.
For the last round, Aduana donned a dress made by designer Ken Batino out of 5,000 safety pins. She wrote on Instagram,
“As a woman and as an Earth warrior, I have the duty to be as nurturing, compassionate, loving and hope-providing as our mother earth.” “Like a safety pin, we hold critical things together. And as women, we hold the earth together.”
During the last question-and-answer session for the Top five, Aduana was asked,
“What do you think people in the future would say about your generation?”
“I would definitely say that our generation, although misconstrued as very ardent, I would have to say that we use our voices for a reason, and that is to always speak up for the things that we know are right and for the things that we know we deserve.”
“That is why we are very ardent about it. That is why I’m also conducting colloquiums on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their interconnectedness to nature in hopes of precipitating people’s eco-consciousness because our future is the linebackers and the pioneers of environmental amelioration, and we should always take advantage of it at all costs.”
