In addition to Virat Kohli making his 500th appearance for India in the second Test match against the West Indies, where he scored a significant century en route to his knock of 12,  videos of stump mic chatter from the game have been a real entertainment on social media. The majority of the interactions on the first day of play at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, were between Kohli and West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva.

During one of those stump mic conversations, Joshua told Kohli that his mother is a tremendous admirer of his and that she was driving to the stadium just to see him perform. On Day 1, Joshua stated,

“My mom called me and told me she’s coming to watch the match for Virat Kohli, I couldn’t believe it.”

“Take a picture,” she instructed his son Joshua Da Silva.

“You’re wonderful; you have a beautiful wife,” she said to Kohli.

“I told Joshua that I was coming to this game just to see Virat Kohli and not him because I see him every day. That was the first time I met Virat Kohli, and he was wonderful as he is – a beautiful, blessed human being. He is so talented, and I hope my son emulates him,” she remarked in a video.

“Kohli is one of the best batsmen in our lifetime. So it is an honor for me to meet him and my son to be on the same field as him.”

Aside from his 11 boundaries in his innings, Kohli scored 77 runs in singles, doubles, and triples during the second day’s first session. He was scarcely challenged by any of the West Indies pacers. Beginning the day at 87, Kohli quickly achieved his century by blasting a wide Roach ball with a stretched square drive. Unfortunately, he got run out by a direct hit from Alzarri Joseph at 121.
