A group of Muslims filed FIR against Priya Varrier for hurting their religious sentiments. According to them, the song has the reference of Khadijah Bivi, the wife of Prophet Mohammad. Although, the Director, the Producer and Priya Prakash appealed to Supreme Court to get stays on any pending FIR. Well, it seems like the problems are not going to end soon as a fresh application has been filed against Priya Prakash Varrier in Supreme Court. According to the application, winking is forbidden in Islam and they are saying that Priya Prakash is hurting their religious sentiments.

The application reads, “The 30-second clip shows a young schoolgirl and a schoolboy exchanging smiles, eyebrows wiggles and winks from across the way. It has completely captivated audiences but with a wrinkle on the face of religious Muslims”.
