As per the Fixed Broadband Speed for the month of February, there have been changes in position. This position has although seen a growth of two places in a month. Whereas on the other hand, if we talk about the Mobile Speed, India grown above three places and stands at 109th rank. While the averages Fixed Broadband download speed in India is 20.72 MBPS and Mobile speed is 9.01 MBPS.

To get a full picture of the fixed broadband performance over the Indian subcontinent, we shall take a look at the average downloading speed in every state and union territory which showed Speedtest results for over more than 100 users in the month of February 2018. While comparing speeds in all the largest cities of India.

According to the Speedtest reports,

Chennai is leading all the states with over an average downloading speed of 32.67 MBPS while Patna, Bihar is the slowest with an average speed of 7.80 MBPS.

Whereas Bangalore stands on the 2nd rank,

Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam in 3rd and 4th accordingly.

While Delhi is on the 5th rank. It is evident that Southern India has 4 cities in the Top 5 whereas Northern India has just 1. And it’s unbelievable to not see Mumbai, a place in Top 5 and Punjab in Top 20 list.
