After demonetization, Modi government has made it compulsory to link the bank account number with the Aadhar card and PAN card.
In order to file income tax returns, now, Aadhar cards are made mandatory which is a 12 digit unique-identity number issued to all Indian residents based on their biometric and demographic data.
A large number of people are facing problems with their PAN Cards as there is no consistency in their names in different cards.
The applicant has to get his or her identity details corrected, either in the PAN card or in the Aadhar card. if the blockage does happen, due to the above reason, the applicant would not be able to file their income tax returns this year.
Here is how you can link up two cards.
Government issued the last date for it and by July 1, 2017 the two major identity cards should be linked.
