The investigation into Saif Ali Khan attack’s has taken a new twist and turn. The investigation took a significant turn at Saif Ali Khan’s residence 19 sets of fingerprints have been found after the burglary and knife attack. The interesting part none of the fingerprints has been matched with the accused, Shariful Islam.

Mumbai Police had submitted the fingerprints to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for analysis, and the system-generated report confirmed a negative match. Well! that was a real shock after the whole investigation. As a result, the CID informed the Mumbai Police of the test outcome, and additional samples have been sent for further testing.

The actor suffered six stab injuries in a shocking attack on January 15 after an intruder broke into his home. Saif Ali Khan confronted the intruder and was stabbed six times, with one injury to his spine causing spinal fluid leakage. Fortunately, doctors reported that the knife was just 2 mm away from his spinal cord. Saif is recovering and now he is back at home, he was advised to take a rest for a speedy recovery.

Shariful, the accused in Saif Ali Khan’s case is found to be a Bangladeshi national who entered India Illegally. The accused told police that someone had promised the fake citizenship document in exchange for money. Police are now looking ahead to the person who has promised the Shariful for the fake documentation.
Mumbai Police needed help from Western Railway to identify the suspect. Security footage captured an intruder entering a 12-story residential building in which Saif Ali Khan lives. Mumbai police used facial recognition technology to match images of the suspect against train passenger records who boarded at Bandra station. Tracking down the unidentified person turned out to be essential because the footage showed unclear images of the person leaving the structure. The police used CCTV evidence to arrest Shariful, police are now continuing to gather proof and strengthen the case.
