News of frequent mob attacks in Pakistan is nothing new. Last year, we heard that a 1000-year-old Hindu temple is being used as a toilet in Pakistan. In a current incident, the mob attacked the Hindu temple on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Bhong city of Rahim Yar Khan district in Punjab province of Pakistan. This is an impure act of Pakistan. The video destroying the Hindu temple went viral on social media.

Damaging Hindu Idols

The mob damaged Hindu idols and burned down parts of the temple. Even the surrounding houses belonging to the Hindu families were also attacked. The rights of the minority families were hampered once again in Pakistan. Pakistan’s government stood idle and failed to protect the minorities living in their country. After this act of inhumanity, anger is seen in local minority families. The local administration in Pakistan is trying to hide the facts. Faces of all the invaders are clearly seen in the viral video, but no one is arrested by the police. Speaking to PTI, police officials said the temple has been “damaged badly.” The attackers were carrying sticks, stones, and bricks. They smashed the deities while raising religious slogans.

The police officer said the minor Hindu boy who allegedly desecrated the library of the seminar in Bhong Sharif was arrested last week and booked under the blasphemy laws but subsequently released on bail for being a minor.

PTI Condemned The Attack

Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leaders and Jai Kumar Dhirani strongly condemn the brutal attack on the temple in Bhong District. However, the administration is trying to hide the facts of the attack and is claiming that this is a conspiracy against Pakistan.

India Hit Out At Pakistan

India on Thursday hit Pakistan, saying, “the government completely failed to protect religious minorities.” The statement comes a day after the mob attacked the Hindu temple. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said such incidences of violence and persecution against the minorities continue unabated in Pakistan.

Pak Supreme Court Takes Note Of Attack

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken note of the attack on the Hindu temple in Bhong Village. In a statement, the court said Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed had expressed concern over the tragic incident.

Considering the issue, the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan has fixed the matter before the court on Friday at Islamabad with the directions to Chief Secretary Punjab and IGP Punjab to appear along with their report, the Supreme Court said in a press release.
