1. England Aggressive Start
England opener Jason Roy came back after injuries and suddenly this England opening pair look settled against the strong Indian bowling attack. Both Jason Roy and Johnny Bairstow scored aggressively and put together a strong 160 runs partnership. They together took on Indian spinners and quickly reached to 160 in 23 overs. Kuldeep Yadav provided the much-needed breakthrough for India. Ravindra Jadeja the substitute for KL Rahul took an amazing catch to get rid of Jason Roy.
Johnny Bairstow scored his first century of this World Cup. At one stage England was looking to get the score excess of 370. But Indian bowlers brought the game back to balance when they took two quick wickets of Johnny Bairstow and Eoin Morgan. Johnny Bairstow scored 111 in 109 balls.
Joe Root along with Ben Stokes put together 70 runs partnership. Jason Roy and Ben Stokes scored half-centuries of 66 and 79 respectively. This took England to a total of 337/7.
For India, Mohammad Shami was again the pick of the bowlers as he took 5 wickets for 69. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav took a wicket each.
2. India’s Slow Start
India started slowly. KL Rahul got out without troubling the scorer on Chris Woakes. Rohit Sharma and chase master Virat Kohli steadied the chase for India.
The duo put together 138 runs partnership. Virat Kohli hits his fifth consecutive half-century of this World Cup. But yet again failed to convert into a century. Virat got out at 66.
Rohit Sharma scored his third century of this World Cup. The pressure of run chase in the World Cup was too much and Rohit immediately got out after century at 102. Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, tried to chase the target. But after they got dismissed, honestly, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav did not try to chase the target.
Why you can't play aggressively from 45th over @msdhoni
its high time, u need to understand, India lost the match with 5 wickets remaining,
what those 5 wicket will do in dugout, Play LUDO

Especially Kedar Jadhav. We don’t know why he is even on the team. Kedar is not even in form and he can’t give hit the ball cleanly. Very disappointed batting especially when you play 50 overs with 5 wickets remaining and you gave up the match at 45th over only.
3. Johnny Bairstow – Man Of The Match
For his century, Johnny Bairstow was declared as the man of the match. England is still alive in the World Cup.
India will play their next match against Bangladesh on July 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. While England will play their last match against New Zealand at Chester-le-Street on July 3. Tomorrow we have Sri Lanka will play against West Indies at Chester-le-Street.
