Manish Chopra, Meta’s Director and Head of Partnerships in India, announced his resignation on Tuesday (May 16). Chopra’s resignation from Meta India is considered one of the most significant departures in the last six months. This departure corresponds with Meta’s current strategy of laying off 21,000 people worldwide.
Meta India, formerly Facebook India, is the Indian subsidiary of Meta Platforms Inc., formerly Facebook Inc. Meta is a technology firm that owns and manages a number of social media platforms and services, such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus VR.

Who Is Manish Chopra?
Manish Chopra had been with the organization since January of 2019. He was in the role of growing and engaging users across Meta’s apps, which included Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
Before joining Meta India, Chopra co-founded and was CEO of Little, an app-only deals platform. Paytm purchased Little in 2017.
He also co-founded the online clothing retailer Zovi.
Chopra has a strong foundation in technology, having spent over nine years in various roles at Microsoft. He also obtained expertise at Oracle, where he worked for nearly two years.

At so many moments in one doing one’s very best, I have seen folks embody ‘what would you do, if you were not afraid’, and surpass our wildest dreams.
