The southern Iranian city of Ahaz recorded the hottest temperature of 53°C in the year 2017. According to scientists, heat waves are attributed to climate change. Ahvaz is also ranked in the world’s most air-polluted cities in the world. In the industrial city of Ahvaz, the average temperature recorded in the warmest month of July is 46°C.

The Portland had hit the hottest temperature of 42.2°C. It is the highest in its history the earlier record happened in the year 1965 and 1981. The surrounding cities and towns were also reached ever met record break temperatures this year.
