10 Hollywood Movies That Drew Inspiration From Bollywood Movies

By now, all of us might be tired of hearing that how Bollywood movies are remakes of some famous Hollywood movies, but there is also an another way around. Some famous Hollywood movies are also inspired by Bollywood movies. Here, we bring you 10 such movies which were originated in Bollywood but were later remade in Hollywood.

1. Fear- Darr

From the love triangle to the stalker scene, everything has been adapted into this American thriller film, Fear which was directed by James Foley.

 

2. Pearl Harbour- Sangam

The same love triangle between two friends and a girl was incarnated in both the movies except the fact that in Sangam, one of the friends was a pilot, whereas its Hollywood version had both.

3. Divorce Invitation- Aahwanam

The director, S.V. Kishan Reddy himself created a Hollywood version of this Tamil film. The film featured Jonathan Bennett and Jamie Sigler.

 

4. Just Go With It- Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya

Both of these films, with a totally opposite star cast, were based on the same story line. Jenifer Aniston and Adam Sandler performed the role of Bollywood stars Sushmita Sen and Salman Khan.

The director of Kill Bill Quentin Tarentino himself told Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap that he was inspired by Kamal Hassen starred movie Abhay.

If you have ever watched Jab We Met, you will know that a movie featuring a bubbly girl, already in a relationship, who meets a stranger, falls in love with him, gets separated and then reunite again can only be similar to Jab We Met. Leap Year, released in 2010, has the same plot and twists.
