The government of India has been focusing on introducing many modern trains for the last few decades. The transformation is slow, but it is progressing for the betterment. India Railways has developed the country’s first world-class railway station. Habibganj Railway Station of Bhopal was renovated and has been renamed as Rani Kamlapati Railway Station.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati Railway Station on November 15, 2021.

Station Renamed To Rani Kamlapati Railway Station

Habibganj railway station is renamed Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. The most modern railway station has been renamed after Gond Queen Rani Kamlapati. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan hails Rani Kamlapati as the pride of the Gond community and “the last Hindu queen of Bhopal.” “People of Madhya Pradesh are thankful to Prime Minister for renaming the Habibganj Railway Station,” Chouhan said in a statement.

The Revamped Railway Station

The Rani Kamlapati Railway station is the country’s first world-class railway station, providing all the facilities that are available at the international airports. It has been developed under the public-private partnership and built by a private company named Bansal Group.

The building cost is around Rs 450 crore. The railway station is on the same lines as Germany’s Heidelberg Railway Station.

Specialties Of Rani Kamlapati Railway Station

The railway station has lifts and escalators. The seating arrangement of 700 to 1,100 passengers has been made in the open concourse. For information about the movement of the trains, display boards with different languages have been installed. They are installed throughout the station for the convenience of the passengers.

The station also has food courts, restaurants, air-conditioned waiting rooms, a VIP lounge, and a dormitory. To keep round-the-clock surveillance, around 160 CCTV cameras have also been installed.

Free Access To Wi-Fi

Passengers will get free Wi-Fi service at the station while waiting for their train, including food courts, air-conditioned waiting rooms, restaurants, VIPs lounge, and Dormitory.

Information About Tourism And Culture Of The State

To entertain the passengers and to provide information about the tourism and culture of the state, a large LED screen will be put on the first-floor waiting area. In addition, a souvenir shop will be set up in the upcoming days, and tribal art paintings will also be displayed at the station.
