ChatGPT has been a huge success, with over a million users in less than a week. As per the Swiss bank UBS, ChatGPT is the fastest-growing app of all time. Due to this remarkable achievement, other tech companies, including Google, are now seeking to enter the market.

Bard is an experimental AI chat service developed by Google. It is designed to engage in conversations with users.

Difference Between ChatGPT Vs Google Bard

One significant difference between the two is that Bard will remain up-to-date with the latest developments, while ChatGPT has only been trained on data up to September 2021. Furthermore, Bard can cite resources if it extracts large amounts of data from a single webpage.

Another feature of Google Bard is that it offers multiple drafts for a single query, allowing the user to browse through different options before selecting one. Furthermore, unlike ChatGPT, which follows a more natural approach to answering questions, Google Bard provides the complete response in one go. As both platforms continue to develop and introduce updates, they are expected to further enhance their respective capabilities.

So today, we’re removing the waitlist and opening up Bard to over 180 countries and territories, including India — with more coming soon.”

Upcoming Features Of Bard

At the Google I/O event, the future capabilities of Bard were previewed, including its focus on providing visual responses. This means that in the future when customers ask Bard questions like, “What are the best places to visit in Delhi?” or “Which are the best restaurants in XYZ area?” the AI chatbot would respond with visuals as well as text-based replies.

The Google blog post read,

“In addition to text, you’ll get a helpful response and rich visuals to give you a better sense of what you’re exploring. For example, let’s say you want to have some fun using a photo of your dog. You can upload it and prompt Bard to “write a funny caption about these two.” Then, using Google Lens, Bard will analyze the photo, detect the dogs’ breeds, and draft a few creative captions — all within seconds.”

Besides this, Bard will also be integrated with Docs, Drive, Gmail, Maps, and other Google apps. It will be working along with Adobe Firefly. Google’s blog post read,

“Looking ahead, we’ll introduce new ways to fuel your imagination and curiosity by integrating the capabilities of Google apps and services you may already use — Docs, Drive, Gmail, Maps, and others — right into the Bard experience. And, of course, you’ll always be in control of your privacy settings when deciding how you want to use these tools and extensions. Bard will also be able to tap into all kinds of services from across the web, with extensions from outside partners, to let you do things never before possible. For example, in the coming months, we’ll integrate Adobe Firefly, Adobe’s family of creative, generative AI models, into Bard so you can easily and quickly turn your own creative ideas into high-quality images, which you can then edit further or add to your designs in Adobe Express.”
