Ayodhya, the spiritual heartbeat of India, is gearing up for an electrifying transformation as it prepares to welcome 15 new trains after the historic inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on January 22, 2023. In a strategic move, the Railways plans to roll out these trains to accommodate the anticipated surge of devotees flocking to the temple town.

To facilitate seamless travel for pilgrims, the Railways has laid out plans for these trains to operate daily, connecting Ayodhya to various destinations. The trains destined for the temple city will gracefully conclude their journey at the Ayodhya Dham junction. In contrast, those embarking from the divine city will initiate their travels from the Ayodhya Cantt station.
Prime Minister Modi’s Grand Arrival
Adding to the moment’s grandeur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace Ayodhya not once but twice. His first visit, scheduled for December 30, will witness the inauguration of Ayodhya’s revamped airport and railway station. The city bedecked with towering posters showcasing the upcoming Ram temple and its newfound status as the city of “Maryada, Dharm, and Sanskriti,” is poised for a majestic transformation. In a monumental move, PM Modi is all set to inaugurate two new Amrit Bharat. And six Vande Bharat trains during his visit. The Amrit Bharat Express trains, the first of their kind, will connect Darbhanga in Bihar to Anand Vihar in Delhi via Ayodhya—as well as Malda Town in West Bengal to Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus in Bengaluru.

But that’s not all! As a part of the massive infrastructural push. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate four newly redeveloped, widened, and beautified roads in Ayodhya. The Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharm Path, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path are set to become the city’s lifelines, enhancing accessibility to the sacred precincts of the Ram temple. The Amrit Bharat Express trains are not just about destinations; they promise an unparalleled journey. They are equipped with semi-coupler technology, a groundbreaking innovation in train operations. Thus, these trains ensure a smooth ride at a maximum speed of 130 km/h. Passengers are in for a treat as they traverse across various destinations without feeling the slightest jerk.
