Finally, the schedule for Asia Cup 2022 is out. The tournament will be held in UAE. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup 2022 will start on August 27, and the final is on September 11. Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the T20 format, which will be ideal preparation for the T20 World Cup in October this year. Rohit Sharma’s Team India will play their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, August 28, at Dubai International Stadium. BCCI secretary and President of the Asian Cricket Council, Jay Shah, shared the schedule for the Asia Cup.
Asia Cup 2022 Schedule
In the last five years, UAE will be hosting Asia Cup second time. The 2018 Asia Cup was also conducted in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This year, the matches will be played in Dubai and Sharjah. The teams are divided into two groups. Group A has India, Pakistan, and Qualifier 1, while Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The qualifying tournament teams are UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Kuwait. All the matches will start at 7:30 PM IST. Here’s the full schedule for Asia Cup 2022.

India Can Play Three Matches Against Pakistan
The tournament will be played in the form of Super 6 and Super 4. The first clash between India vs Pakistan is on Sunday, August 28. Both the teams are placed in Group A. Out of 3 teams from Group A, two will qualify for Super 4. Every team will again play each other. So if India and Pakistan both qualify for Super 4, they will again play on Sunday, September 4, in Dubai.
In case both India and Pakistan finish in the Top 2 in the Super 4 Round, then they will play against each other at the final on Sunday, September 11, in Dubai. It is exciting news for all cricket lovers considering the craze for cricket these two nation has. Also, India and Pakistan do not play against each other in bilateral series.
