These days, I hear from so many people that age is just a number. But it won’t apply in all cases. To gain knowledge and to do exercise to stay young then definitely age is just a number but to get job, it is NOT just number. Knowledge is ocean, till the last minute of our breath, there is always something new to learn.

And exercise or yoga is needed for all ages to stay healthy. Both men and women crave to look young and energetic even at the age of 50’s. But only very few can keep that charm and style. Today, we share you 7 women politicians who didn’t lose their style and charm even after getting old.

 

1. Kirron Kher- Member Of Parliament From Chandigarh (BJP)

Kirron Kher was born on 14 June 1955 made her film debut in 1983 in the Punjabi feature film Aasra Pyar Da. She joined the Bhartiya Janata Party in 2009 and campaigned for the party in across the country during the elections. BJP declared her as the Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh for General Elections, 2014.

 

2. Mamata Banerjee- Chief Minister Of West Bengal

She is a poet, painter and an Indian politician who has been the 8th Chief Minister of West Bengal since 2011. She grew up in a lower middle class family and Banerjee’s father died due to lack of medical treatment, when she was 17. She always gets dressed in simple traditional Bengali clothes and avoids luxuries.

 

3. Hema Malini – BJP MP from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

Born in 1948, this Indian actress is also a director, producer, dancer and politician. In 2014, Malini was elected to the Lok Sabha. Currently, Malini is also a life member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

 

4. Meenakshi Lekhi – BJP MP from Delhi

She was born in 1967 and politically active from a young age. She is an Indian Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from New Delhi constituency.

 

5. Smriti Irani – Ministry of Textiles

Smriti Irani was born on 23 March 1976 is an Indian politician, former model and television actress. She has a different journey that she was one of the finalists of the beauty pageant Miss India 1998. The Ministry of Human Resource Development was taken away from Irani in july 2016 and was given the Ministry of Textiles in a cabinet reshuffle.

She was also handed the additional charge of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India) in July 2017 when Former Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu resigns from Ministry to take part in Vice Presidential Elections.

 

6. Priyanka Gandhi – Indian politician

Even though she campaigns during election time, the daughter of Sonia Gandhi and late Mr Rajiv Gandhi, Priyanka has always stayed away from active politics. Hope Rahul Gandhi also follows this. Priyanka Gandhi is married to businessman Robert Vadra.

 

7. Sonia Gandhi

From a waitress in a restaurant, Sonia Gandhi who is an Italian-born Indian politician served as President of the Indian National Congress party since 1998. One of her successful victories in her ruling period is separating united Andhra Pradesh that has taken away several lives of innocent Youth. Sonia Gandhi was overall ranked 21st and 3rd most powerful woman by Forbes Magazine in 2013.
