Yuzvendra Chahal disclosed that they had been having troubles for a few years but decided not to disclose them to the public until they were resolved, in a recent interview with Raj Shamani on his YouTube channel.
Yuzvendra Chahal, an Indian cricketer, has revealed something shocking about his relationship with Dhanashree Verma, his ex-wife. Chahal disclosed in a podcast that the marriage had been unstable for some time. Chahal admitted that they had been having difficulties for a while when he added, “Kaafi time se chal raha tha.” They decided to remain silent until a decision was made.
He said, to avoid showing the public, “Jab tak nahi ho jaata kyunki kya pata naa bhi hota, we made the decision we won’t say anything because, humara yeh tha ki jab tak hum ek point pe jaa ke pahunchenge nahi.” The pair kept sharing joyful pictures and videos on the internet in spite of their problems.
Chahal replied when asked if they were pretending to be together in the final moments. In order to address his mental health, he also disclosed that he took a break from cricket during that time. “I was unable to use my intellect; therefore, I requested a break from the Vijay Hazare Trophy. I took a month-long break because cricket made me happy and still makes me happy, and if I can’t do that, then something is wrong,” he remarked.

RJ Mahvash studied at Aligarh Muslim University and then Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi after being born in Uttar Pradesh. After joining Radio Mirchi, where she worked alongside RJ Naved and rose to fame, her career took off.

Yuzvendra Chahal On Being Titled As A “Cheater”
He revealed that during this stage, he began to be called a cheater. “In my entire life, I have never cheated. That’s not me,” he said. “You will never find anyone as loyal as me,” and added, and he felt no need to prove it to the world because everyone around him already knew the truth.
He added that people assumed he was content with his divorce when they noticed his obvious relaxation following it and questioned why he wasn’t crying or posting depressing messages on social media. “I suffered from depression for several months. Only those closest to me are aware that I have experienced anxiety attacks.”
He admitted that his friends, including his rumored girlfriend, RJ Mahvash, had supported him at that time. “I used to have suicidal thoughts because my mind had stopped working,” he claimed. “Mahvash and my family supported me during this time.”
Chahal Breaks Silence On Wearing T-Shirt Saying “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy”
Yuzvendra Chahal mentioned that he wished to complete the divorce process prior to the beginning of the Indian Premier League. Additionally, he intended to make a statement when he wore the T-shirt that read, “Be your own sugar daddy.” Because something happened from the other end, he stated, “I just felt like I wanted to give one message, and I did that.”
“I didn’t want to do it at first, but after something happened, I made the decision that I would do what I wanted, and everyone else could go to hell.” She reportedly received ₹4.75 crore in alimony during the divorce proceedings earlier this year, which Yuzvendra and Dhanashree filed for in February 2024.
