Sikh Man Thrashes Robber After He Attempts To Loot Store In US; Check CCTV Video

The spike in thefts and armed robberies at stores in the US is a major source of worry for store owners and retailers. Social media has thus seen the rise of several videos depicting such attacks on patrons, employees, and store owners. But this time, the tables flipped, and in a dramatic way. A Sikh Man, believed to be the store’s owner, intervened when a robber broke into the 7-Eleven in California and beat the burglar black and blue, according to a report in the New York Post. The Viral Video

A masked man is seen trying to stuff as many items as he can into a large trash can in a video of the incident that has gone popular on social media. Additionally, the robber asked a staff member to “back up” while they repeatedly threatened the business owner with an unknown weapon. Watch the video here :

The shop owner tries to stop the burglar by pushing a rubbish can and filling it with merchandise while wearing a blue cloth over his face. The thief wields a concealed firearm and motions for the owner to keep away whenever he approaches. Narrating the entire affair is someone who is most likely concealed behind a plastic screen.

“Just let him go. There ain’t nothing you can do. They’re not going to do nothing,” the bystander who took the video can be heard saying.

A customer threatens to call the police as the situation becomes more tense, but the thief is unrepentant and disregards the threat. Since there is nothing that can be done and the police are unlikely to intervene, the person who is recording the situation advises that it would be best to let the robber go. Additionally, the question of insurance is raised.

The Sikh Man Takes Charge

However, something unexpected occurred in a couple of seconds. One of the store employees made the decision to resolve the situation on his own. A person can be seen approaching the burglar in the video and holding his hand. The Sikh man began beating the robber with a stick after grabbing him from the opposing side. The individual in front of the camera persisted in letting the thief go multiple times. You shouldn’t do that, he yelled. Man, don’t do that. “Never do that!” The Sikh man beat the thief till he collapsed to the ground.

The Bravery Gets Applauded

The Sikh man’s bravery in opposing the notion that they had no options was commended by online users. Twitter user: “I’m not a violent person, but it was nice to see something being done to someone trying to rob the store.”

Another wrote, “This is great. From my experience, the Sikhs are some of the hardest working people and entrepreneurs. They shouldn’t have to put up with garbage like this robbing them and taking away their ability to make a living.”
