Shubh is being dropped by sponsors due to internet anger over his purported involvement in the Khalistani movement. Continue reading more about the entire scandal – from brands terminating their partnership to country tours being canceled.

Shubh Canadian Singer

One of the most well-known Punjabi singers in the world is Shubhneet Singh, better known by his stage name Shubh. His tracks became viral on social media, with songs like Elevated, Cheques, and Still Rollin topping charts all over the world.

What Actually Happened?

Punjab, the North East, and Jammu and Kashmir were omitted from a distorting map of India that the Punjabi artist Shubh, who lives in Canada, shared on his Instagram account. For obvious explanations, this didn’t sit well with the people of the nation. We present to you three highlights from his “Khalistan” scandal, in which supporters have purportedly accused him of being a part of the movement and in which he has been dropped by companies.

India Tour Has Been Canceled

Singer Shubhneet Singh’s Still Rollin Tour for India has been dismissed, BookMyShow announced on their official Twitter account. For all customers who had bought tickets for the performance, BookMyShow has started a full refund of the ticket price. Within 7 to 10 business days, the refund will appear in the customer’s original transaction source account.

The singer was forced to take action when the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the BJP’s youth wing, voiced its displeasure at the singer’s posting of an incorrect map of India on his Instagram account. He was scheduled to perform during the Cruise Control 4.0 event, which was held aboard the Cordelia Cruise in Mumbai from September 23–25.

Boat Cancels The Sponsorship

One of the most popular brands in India, The Boat, has a long-standing sponsorship relationship with Shubh and provides a broad variety of earbuds, headphones, earphones, and wireless speakers. However, following his suspected participation in the Khalistani movement, the company chose to end its sponsorship. They announced this on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Unfollowed By Virat Kohli On Instagram

Virat Kohli highlighted Shubh when he responded to a fan’s inquiry in the comments regarding his favorite singer. The batsman, along with teammates KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, chose not to follow the Elevated artist on Instagram after he posted the distorted map of India.

What do you think about sponsors canceling Shubh’s appearances due to his suspected participation in the Khalistani movement?
