Salman Khan And His Bodyguard Shera First Meet
You would be astounded to note that before managing Salman Khan, Shera used to manage a lot of Hollywood celebrities. It was back in 1995 that Salman Khan actually met Shera. It was during a party by none other than Keanu Reeves. Furthermore, it was during that party that Salman’s brother Sohail Khan asked Shera if he would take responsibility for the Superstar’s security, Salman Khan had to go on an international tour. It goes without saying that he accepted the offer immediately.
Narrating the incident Shera shared as we quote,
“I met Salman Khan when Keanu Reeves, the Hollywood hero, came to India. Speed had been released and Matrix was about to release. I did my first show with Salman in Chandigarh, and we’ve been together ever since.”
Shera addresses Salman Khan as his “Maalik”. He has been working for Salman Khan since 1998. It has been a friendship of over 20 years now! For him, Salman Khan is his family. He once was quoted saying,
“I am like a horse decked up at a wedding to carry the groom. I am only concerned about my Maalik (Salman) and wherever he goes, I am there. Furthermore, I am his Yes Man. To date, whatever Maalik has asked, I’ve done. That is why I am a part of Maalik’s family.”
Here Is How Much Shera Earns
It is quite tough to deduce exactly how much Shera earns per month. Why? Because he has various sources of income. But if reports are to be believed Shera was drawing a salary of 15 lakhs per month to handle Salman Khan’s security in 2020. This makes his per year income close to about 2 crores. Sounds crazy? We agree.
Furthermore, apart from being Salman’s bodyguard he owns a security agency named Tiger Securities. Tiger Securities manages various B-town celebrities. To say that it is a big name in the Hindi cinema industry would be a sheer understatement. Another noteworthy thing is that his agency Tiger Securities managed Justin Bieber when he came to India back in 2017.
With such a high income, it is safe to say that Salman Khan’s bodyguard also has a very extravagant lifestyle. Shera owns many cars and superbikes. Furthermore, he is a proud owner of Mahindra Thar. He also has a Kawasaki superbike and a Gorgeous BMW in his personal collection.
In an interview, he said,
“I honestly don’t know what I would have been if not for Salman Khan’s personal bodyguard. Furthermore, I would have been someone who had a small security agency… I don’t know.”
He further added,
“I only have Salman Khan to thank for all that I have today. I owe it all to the man I call Maalik.”
All of this is a testament to how special Salman Khan and Shera’s bond is. If reports are to be believed Salman Khan is planning to launch his son Tiger very soon.
