Tourists on three to four different rafts engaged in a violent scuffle, striking one another with raft paddles. In addition, some of the rafters may be seen jumping into the river. The Uttarakhand Police Department has acknowledged the viral video that captures the clash between numerous rafters on the Ganga in Rishikesh.
The police were aware of the event after the video went viral on social media. However, the police are still working to determine the exact time and location of the occurrence.

Following a disagreement between visitors, a harrowing episode happened in which both parties engaged in violence while seated on a raft. They even used the rafting paddle as a weapon against one other. During the uproar, several tourists went so far as to leap into the Ganga River. A video of the altercation has gone viral on the internet, drawing attention to the incident.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the police responded immediately. SSP for Tehri Garhwal district confirmed that a full inquiry would be made to address the issue. SSP Navneet Singh said,
“The video came to our knowledge on Saturday, but we have not received any complaint. We are trying to confirm the rafting company by closely inspecting the video. We will call them and confirm when the incident took place.”
