As the first Thai representative to win Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri made history. Before winning Miss Universe Thailand, Opal, a native of Phuket, was a student at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Political Science, where she was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in politics and international relations, according to a June 1 article on Nationthailand.com.
According to the story, she is fluent in Chinese, having completed Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok with a focus on the language.
