Not An April Fool Prank, Ola Charged This Guy Rs. 149 Crore On April 1 For A Trip He Didn’t Take

Ola Charged Rs. 149 Crore

Have you ever been charged this much huge amount for a ride by any cab?

Well, Ola does to Sushil Narsian who didn’t even take a trip.

The day April 1st 2017 is something that Sushil Narsian from Mumbai will never forget in his life. To travel from his residence in Mulund West to Vakola Market, he booked a cab. But the driver could not locate his house via maps because his phone stopped working. So, Sushil started walking towards the driver but by the time he reached the pick-up point, the driver had cancelled the ride.

When he tried booking again, he saw something unusual which is not seen even in movies. He was unable to book a cab because he had an outstanding amount of Rs. 1,49,10,51,648. That's over Rs. 149 crore for the trip he didn’t even take. In addition to this, the cab company also deducted the 127 rupees he already had in this mobile wallet.

"Initially, I thought it was an April Fools' prank", he said.

He took this to social media. The company instantly credited the Rs 127 from his account, and removed the Rs 149 crore bill that was charged to him saying that it was a technical glitch.

In addition to that, the company offered him a coupon for the inconvenience he faced.

This is how social media reacted to the whopping taxi bill.

"149 crores ??? Where was the trip drop location ?? Pluto or Neptune ?", wondered a user on Facebook.

"Check if they pulled a 1st April special on you. Though I would never trust them", wrote another.

"Has ola started kaun banega crorepati ?", wrote another.
