This Mother’s Day Let Us Rewind The Things Which Every Mom Says

via

There are a countless number of classic dialogues of our Mom that we all heard a million times growing up. Showcased on television and in our own homes, there is an understood, worldwide language of Mom that is passed down from generation to generation. If you were brought up in a desi house, you damn sure have had at least a million moments when your mother spewed these usual responses at you and being the kind of kids that we are, I think we should acknowledge that being our mother might not be particularly easy.
Bravo, Moms!

Here are Every Mom’s most-used and most memorable phrases.

1. When You Tell Her You Want To Go On A Trip: “Paise Toh Pedd Par Lagge Hain Naa?”

At the point that you were old enough to ask for money, you were probably aware enough to realize this without Mom’s confirmation of the matter. Thanks anyways, Mom. Regardless, this is a lesson you’ll thank her for later.

2. When You Ask Her To Give You Extra Pocket Money: “Mere Pass Koi Paise Nahi Hain. Go Ask Your Father.”

via

This always meant that mom had no clue what to tell you or just didn’t want to be the one to make the decision, so Dad, this one is on you. This is a rather common quote said by Moms in almost all households.

3. When You Even Smile At A Guy ”Kon Tha Wo Ladka?” “Who Is That Boy You Were Talking To?”

via

A question which actually means, “Don’t let me catch you talking to any boy ever again in your entire life!” Surely it made us embarrassed every time.

4.  “Are You Going To Learn Cooking Anytime Soon?”

via

A typical Desi Mom always worries about how her daughter will please her husband or her in-laws if she cannot accomplish the nearly impossible task of making round chapatis.

5. When Your Mumma Joins Facebook “Why Haven’t  You Accepted My Facebook Friend Request?’

via

This is a relatively modern one where parents now want in on their child’s social network page just to snoop around.
