Match 46, Chennai Super Kings battled Sunrisers Hyderabad in a thrilling contest. Last time the team collided in Match 20 of IPL 2018 and CSK emerged victoriously. This time, Sunrisers Hyderabad performed well with the bat but Chennai Super Kings outclassed them. They chased the 180 runs target given by SRH in 19 overs.

In the final overs, Deepak Hooda slammed the ball away on multiple occasions and pushed the score of SRH to 179/4. To conclude, Chennai Super Kings had a target of 180 runs before them.

Suresh Raina was dismissed earlier but Ambati Rayudu held his end. He along with MS Dhoni led the team to victory by 8 wickets. Ambati completed his century. He scored unbeaten 100 in 62 balls including 7 fours and 7 sixes. For his amazing performance, he was given the man of the match award.
