Even At The Age Of 94, He Still Continues To Teach

We often hear successful people saying, chase your passion.

But he says, teaching is my LIFE not passion.

His age and retirement didn’t stop him from teaching. Even at the age of 94, he still teaches and inspires students.

Even though his health didn’t allow him to teach but still he makes a visit to school every single day to guide young budding teachers and students.

In 1942, Tonse Kemmannu Srinivas Rao got appointed as a teacher in Adi Udupi Government School and soon in 1947; he got promoted to head master. The school currently has about 450 students, most of them from poor families.

The Real Teacher

He says, my greatest happiness lies in seeing my students becoming successful in their lives.

He said, "Every student is important, and it is the responsibility of the teacher to guide them. I am not happy with my physical condition but it gives me great joy that I am still associated with children, almost 40 years after my retirement."

The Zeal To Learn

He comes to school every day and uses the notice board outside the classroom to work out math’s problems. It is clear that learning has no age limit.

He entertains students with stories from the Mahabharata, Ramayana, Koran and Bible every Friday for three hours. I personally feel if every teacher is like him then for sure the coming up generation will lead life with moral values which will bring back our lost ancient glory
