Day 12, FIFA 2018: Saudi Arabia And Uruguay Wins, Other 2 Games Draw

After exciting games the previous day, Day 12 FIFA 2018 had exciting four games lined up. They are Saudi Arabia Vs Egypt, Uruguay Vs Russia, Iran Vs Portugal and Spain Vs Morocco. Read on to know more about the match summaries of Day 12.

 

Saudi Arabia Vs Egypt

It took place in Volgograd Arena. This is their first encounter. Egypt was first to score as Mohamed Salah scored one for their team at the 22nd minute. Saudi Arabia leveled the score with a penalty goal which was successfully landed by Salman Al-Faraj. The score at halftime was 1 – 1. There was a tough battle from both sides and luckily for Saudi Arabia, the last kick of the game was a goal as Salem Al-Dawsari worked his way inside from the right. Saudi Arabia won the game with a 2 – 1 score.

 

Russia Vs Uruguay

The match took place at Samara Arena. Uruguay took the lead when Luis Suarez scored the first goal at the 10th minute, steering his team towards the lead. Following that, it was an own goal by Denis Cheryshev from team Russia, which gave Uruguay a 2 – 0 lead over Russia. At halftime, the score was 2 – 0. Edinson Cavani scored another one for Uruguay at the 90th minute making it 3 – 0. Uruguay won the match with 3 goals lead.

 

Iran Vs Portugal

The match took place at Mordovia Arena. This is their second encounter. Their first was back in 2006. Ricardo Quaresma scored one for Portugal at the 45th minute, giving Portugal the lead. The score at halftime was 0 – 1. Iran leveled the score with Karim Ansarifard’s penalty goal making it 1 – 1. Ronald’s missed penalty goal could’ve been a win for Portugal if landed. The match ended in a 1 – 1 draw.

 

Spain Vs Morocco

The match took place at Kaliningrad Stadium. Morocco scored first, taking the lead with Khalid Boutaib’s goal at the 14th minute. Following which, Spain scored the goal with Isco scoring one for their team. The score at halftime was 1 – 1. Youssef En-Nesyri scored one for Morrocco giving it the lead at the 81st minute. However, Iago Aspas leveled it with his goal. The match ended in a draw.
